Kinderdagpaleis Boerhaave B.V. (also ‘we’) treats your personal data with great care. This privacy statement describes how your personal data is processed when you visit our website.

Controller

Who is responsible

We are responsible for the processing of your personal data when you visit our website. If you have questions about the processing of your personal data, you can reach us at our general postal address or by email:

  • Organisation: Kinderdagpaleis Boerhaave B.V.
  • Address: {{address}}

Personal data

Which data

When you visit our website we collect and use various personal data about you. A large part of that is personal data you provide yourself, and also certain data we collect only because you visit the website. This concerns the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Telephone number and/or email address

When you visit our website, cookies are usually placed on your computer. Cookies allow the website to remember your computer. If you do not want this, you can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is sent. Our cookie statement explains which cookies we use and for what purpose.

Purposes

What we use it for

We use your data only for the following purposes:

  • Making direct contact by email, post or telephone

Legal basis

On what basis

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you have given (for example if you give us consent to send invitations to events or newsletters), performance of the contract (for example when processing and sending a product or service you ordered on our website), a legal obligation that may rest on us, or a legitimate interest (for example to improve our website). For that last basis we look carefully not only at what that interest is, but we also weigh it against the privacy interests of the people concerned.

If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you can always withdraw that consent by sending us an email (see the contact details on our website). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing up to the moment of withdrawal.

Third parties

Shared with others

We only share your personal data with other parties if this is necessary to carry out our work. This includes software suppliers, or parties that manage our website and store the data.

If we engage third parties, we make the necessary written agreements with them about the processing and security of your personal data.

Outside the EEA

Outside Europe

We try to process your personal data only within the European Economic Area (EEA) and to store your data on a server in the EEA as much as possible. Sometimes that is not possible. In that case we take the necessary organisational, technical and contractual measures to provide an appropriate level of protection for your personal data.

Protection

How we protect it

We take organisational and technical measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss and any form of unlawful processing. We periodically assess whether the existing measures are still appropriate, or whether extra or different measures are needed.

Retention

How long we keep it

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which we use it. Below are the retention periods we apply if you no longer use our services.

  • First and last name: 12 months
  • Gender: 12 months
  • Telephone number and/or email address: 12 months

If you tell us that you no longer wish to receive (electronic) newsletters or invitations to events, you can also ask us to delete your data. In that case we delete your personal data.

Your rights

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we collect and to correct personal data that contains factual inaccuracies. You can also submit requests to delete personal data, to restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to the processing of your personal data. Finally, again under certain circumstances, you have the right to data portability.

If you want to exercise these rights, please contact us. You will find our contact details on our website.

If you are not satisfied with how we process your personal data and we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).

Finally

What else matters

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that can be reached via our website. We advise you to read the privacy and cookie statements of those websites before you use them.

We may make changes to this privacy statement. We therefore recommend that you consult this privacy statement regularly.
